Inter-House Cross Country 2024 - 11 Nov 2024

The Inter-House Cross-Country event was held on November 11, 2024, commencing at 06:10 for Sub-junior, Junior, and Senior categories. A total of 472 cadets participated across all three categories. Sub-juniors competed in a 2 km race, Juniors in a 3.7 km race, and Seniors in a 5 km race. Cariappa, Azad, and Prasad emerged as champions in the Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior categories, respectively.

Aquatic Championship 2024 - 05 Nov 2024

The Inter-House Aquatic Championship was held on November 05, 2024, at 03:15 PM at the Lt Col Somaiah Aquatic Complex. The event featured 50m freestyle races for boys in three categories: sub-junior, junior, and senior, with girls competing in a 25m freestyle race. Additionally, a 4x50m relay was conducted for boys in all three categories. Ashoka house won the Senior Aquatic Championship, while Veluthampi house bagged the junior trophy and Patel house clinched the sub-junior trophy.

Devananda's Stellar Performance at the World Chess Boxing Championship...

Devananda of Sainik School Kazhakootam has once again proven her prowess on the global stage. Competing at the prestigious World Chess Boxing Championship in Armenia, she achieved an outstanding performance, bringing home one gold and two bronze medals. In a remarkable display of skill and determination, Devananda clinched the gold medal in the Chess Boxing Light (53 kg Girls) category, defeating Anastasiia Potapova from Russia. She also earned bronze in the Chess Boxing Classic (53 kg Girls) category against Shamsieva Sabrina from Russia, and another bronze in the Chess Boxing Fit category, facing off with Anastasiia Potapova once again.

Swachhata Diwas - 02 Oct 2024

The school organized a one-hour Shramdan for Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 on October 2, 2024, from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM. A cleanliness drive was conducted outside the compound walls of the school, Sainik Nagar, and Amballur area.

Inauguration of the School Herbal Garden Project 2024

The inauguration of the School Herbal Garden Project 2024 by the Principal was held in front of the school at 8:15 AM. All the Academic Staff, PI Staff, and PTIs were present. The Principal planted a black pepper plant on the occasion.

All India Sainik School National Games SS Chandrapur 2024 -01 Oct 2024

All India Sainik Schools National Games 2024 was held at SS Chandrapur from 23 Sep to 01 Oct 2024. Group -H was the overall Champions. They won the Athletics Trophy also.

The talk by Ms. Bindu Vinodhan, CEO and Executive Director of the Mouna Dwani Foundation, Bengaluru, was held successfully. The event was held in our school auditorium on September 26th at 11:00 AM. Students from Classes X to XII were encouraged to attend the session, which was insightful and inspiring.

School conducted tree plantation drive on 17.09.2024. Saplings were planted within school premises with a special focus on deforested areas. Saplings were planted collaboratively by students and their mothers.
